Our goal as parents isn’t to get our kids “spiritually saved.” We want so bad for our kids to trust Jesus personally and will do anything we can to ensure the Holy Spirit can work in our kids’ lives, but we will fall short. Our goal should instead be to work hard at creating an environment where our kids can be exposed to the truths of God. Taking them to church, having devotions, praying together, and speaking blessings into their lives often are great ways to do this. Getting them across the line from sinner to saint is not up to us. In fact, that’s impossible for us to achieve. God alone is the only one who can make this happen. Pray that God will bear fruit in your good work, and that you and your kids will grow in the knowledge of God. As your kids get older, they will have more and more truths to rely back on as they make their own daily life decisions. Do the work, watch God bear the fruit.
